Kormo cushion cover
The Kormo Terracotta cushion cover has that soft, fluffy feel characteristic of khadi cotton, an Indian fabric with a downy, almost woolly appearance, but whose fineness is reminiscent of natural gauze.
Spun and woven by hand, Kormo is the very embodiment of cotton in its simplest and purest form: as the material is only rinsed before being handled by the weavers to create the product, the cushion cover emerges all the more authentic.
Unbleached and undyed, Kormo cotton is in its natural state: proof of this is that, if you look closely, you might even spot tiny details of cotton plants woven into the fabric. This authentic and unadorned appearance is also reflected in the printing technique, a traditional block printing method: artisans use large wooden blocks which they dip in dyes before applying them directly to the fabric. This requires great precision to achieve a continuous and regular geometric pattern.
Kormo is made in India.
